The Background
Close Brothers had a challenge with a flagging company-wide Salesforce implementation programme.
The organisation had already spent £23m with a large established consultancy, however there was a decreasing amount of uptake and buy-in of the required changes, and the benefits of delivery were not being fully recognised. They needed a way to assess the current state of the programme, the practical aspects and deliverables to better understand how capable they were of delivering the change.
Our Approach
We conducted a live Change Ready 6 assessment as part of an interactive workshop with the CEO and his senior leadership team. An initial Change Ready score of 28% confirmed that the organisation was not set up for successful change.
We then worked with the senior leadership team to create a remediation plan and prioritisation programme to bring them back on track. We parachuted in a small, highly skilled team of experts to accelerate the transformation agenda – Change Ready and Salesforce.

The Outcome
The turnaround was measurable and fast: within just 180 days, Close Brothers saw significant improvement across leadership, people, and value delivery — putting the transformation back on track with renewed confidence and clarity.
